Eileen’s Phalaenopsis

Eileen’s Phalaenopsis

Pride of place on the kitchen table
two long wispy darkened stems,
seven perfectly formed flowers
proudly showing off
their palette of yellowy green,
nine growing buds slowly
emerging, snatching
the daylight from the window.

''The Orchid of Life''

As the orchid sits proud upon your table,

take a look and ponder at what it's saying to you.

For you too will florish with love and tender care,

food, water, love, care, NO strife,

This is "The Orchid of Life!"

Flowers are sent to friends
To brighten up their life.
And make the world seem clearer.
Through those often clouded eyes.

The living buds that you've been sent.
Were sent with love and healing wishes.
So watch it florish in the days to come.
And like it's sender give hope and pleasure.
